In this video, Jason Miller explains the importance of an agile marketing team. He discusses how when he started working at a SaaS company for the first time he quickly learned that “spray and pray” email marketing wasn’t enough.
Instead, Miller learned the value of agile marketing. This meant that the marketing team had to be able to perform a variety of tasks such as creating their own landing page. Miller also emphasizes the importance of marketing different products to the right potential customers and of maximizing effort at the right point in the buying cycle.
I like this video because it condenses important lessons about SaaS marketing in an easy-to-digest format. I also like that Miller’s lessons come from real-world personal experience, not just abstract theorizing.
A successful SaaS marketing team needs to be agile and adaptable if it wants to be successful.
